SREBRENICA 25: TOGETHER AGAINST THE DENIAL VIRUS

The opening of the multimedia exhibition "Srebrenica:Genocide in Eight Acts" on July 7 at the SENSE Center in Pula will mark the beginning of the campaign "Together Against the Denial Virus" involving fifteen civil society organizations.

We have been witnessing persistent fabrications of lies, commemorations of crimes instead of victims and the enforcement of the opinion of the majority in our societies, said the participants of an international panel-discussion on the theme "Could populists lead us out of the war narrative?". It was organized by Forum ZDF in Serbia and SENSE - Transitional Justice Center. At the beginning of the event, a large documetary database about the war crime trials, assembled by the SENSE News Agency, has been presented to the audience. Judge Carmel Agius, President International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals

The President of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals Carmel Agius and the former president of Croatia Stjepan Mesić opened the exhibition and presentation of the Ahmići interactive narrative at the SENSE center in Pula. The narrative entitled ''Ahmići: 48 Hours of Ashes and Blood“ was produced by the SENSE centar and the exhibited photographs were taken by Giles Penfound, a photographer with the British Battalion, in the days following the attack on Ahmići in April 1993

Interactive narrative Targeting History and Memory

With a series of activities – exhibitions, presentations, an international conference, a seminar and a study trip carried out throughout 2016, 2017 and 2018 - the project “Targeting History and Memory”, supported by EU Program Europe for Citizens has been successfully completed. The project is based on an interactive narrative with the same name and has engaged five civic organizations from Croatia (Documenta, SENSE Center) Serbia (Humanitarian Law Center), Bosnia and Herzegovina (History Museum of BH) and The Netherlands (Europa Nostra)
